    Taught by NUS Faculty. Course will count as Sociology 489 for Texas A&M credit.

Additional Program Information

Singapore is an international hub in Asia where Chinese, Malaysian, Indian, Indonesian, and westerners work together. Students will feel comfortable studying in Singapore together with local students where English is the official language in academia and it is widely spoken on the streets. Students will enjoy field trips to high-tech international companies conveniently located within 25 miles from the campus, and cultural centers in Singapore and neighboring countries. The broader impact includes invaluable gain when students team up with local students to work in well-equipped laboratories, interact with guest speakers and local faculties to learn about technopreneurship practice and Asian culture.

Eligibility
Students must have senior level standing by the time the program begins. Participants must be engineering majors with a 2.5 minimum GPR and in good standing with TAMU. Other majors are considered by application.
Foreign Language Requirement

None! All courses are taught in English.

Cost of Program
  • $2,200 (estimated)*

    *cost includes lodging, transportation, cultural and technical visits.
    *cost does not include meals, airfare, tuition, fees, books and spending money.

Scholarships
Through the generosity of corporations and individuals, the College of Engineering is pleased to offer scholarships to students going abroad. The scholarships are competitive and you will be required to fill out a scholarship application form.

The Study Abroad Office also offers scholarships. The first scholarship is a Student Academic Fund (SAF) – need based. The second is an International Education Fund Scholarship (IEFS) – merit based.
