Educational Exchange Programs

An Educational Exchange Program (or reciprocal exchange program) is similar to the independent study abroad. Students do not pay tuition at the international institution due to the exchange. Students enroll at TAMU and take courses at international universities delivered by the international universities faculty. Except for Brazil, students are not required to know a foreign language because the courses conducted at international universities are taught in English. Students that command a foreign language may choose to participate in programs delivered in languages other than English. Once students return to TAMU, they check with their advisor to make sure credits are transferred back to TAMU. The college has programs at the following international institutions:

German Academic Exchange Service
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) provides funding for engineering students to study and research in Germany and helps build ties between institutions in Germany and the rest of the world.
